THE HISTORY OF D&O

A publishing project is being undertaken by Larry Goanos together with Bill Brown, Chris Cavallaro, Greg Flood and Al Salvatico (collectively known as the Editors) to assemble and produce a book about the colorful history of Directors & Officers Insurance. Proceeds of this book will go to charity. The book will consist entirely of anecdotes and reminiscences about D&O Insurance, from the early days right up to the present (the product, the underwriters, the brokers, the buyers, the lawyers and other camp followers, and their business practices).

Your contribution is requested as the Editors solicit any personal recollections, documents, pictures, or other memorabilia. Preference will be given to interesting and/or amusing stories. No later than September 15, please respond to Larry Goanos, Managing Editor/Publisher, at insurancestories@aol.com or via hard copy to Larry Goanos at 211 East 18th Street, #6C, New York, NY 10003. Selection of materials for publication is at the discretion of the Editors. Submitted materials may be edited for length and content.

The Editors have two goals. The first is clearly to fund a good cause. The second is to share with readers some of the unique and wonderful stories that have led to the evolution of today’s D&O marketplace.

It is premature to reserve a copy of this book. However, if you would like to add your name and e-mail address to the mailing list that will be used exclusively to communicate information about this endeavor, please reply to insurancestories@aol.com

Advisen Ltd. is a proud supporter of this publishing project.
